We all know certain books that make the best sellers list or have known authors but have you read anything odd that probably no one has heard of that was great ?
Tell us a bit about the book. . . here's one of my faves.
I've read this book probably 5 times and loved it each time. So much to learn from it.
Of Such Small Differences by Joanna Greenburg
Its the story of a man who is both blind and deaf and what his world is like. It is not a maudlin book at all. Its written quite matter of fact and with a lot of reality. It takes you to depths you can't even imagine and leaves you with a real insight into the abilities of your own senses. What's amazing to me is that the author is neither handicapped or male yet she seems to truly understand and define this man.
You'll have to get it from somewhere like Half.com. I don't think its in print anymore.
