If I were Palin I would just say no to all of them. Especially Barbara Walters. After the way she treated John and Cindy McCain last month on the View she would be the last person on earth I would sit down with.

Other than Elizabeth the entire cast treated them just awful.
Walters didn't even look at McCain when speaking to him, in fact Joy sat with her arms crossed with a sour look on her face, Sheree and Whoopie treated him like dirt too, they were unbelievably rude.

It was not only rude, it was very unprofessional, especially Barbara, this is what she has done for a living most of her career. I have seen Barbara sit down with scum of the earth, murderers, dictators and the likes and showed then more respect than she showed John McCain and his wife.

Whether they supported him or not John McCain didn't deserve to be treated so poorly. He is a very gracious gentleman and I felt so sad for him, I honestly felt like crying.

If they knew they weren't capable of showing the man and his wife courtesy and respect they should never have extended an invitation to them.

I have a tiny bit more respect for Oprah deciding that once she had made her choice in who she was supporting and made it public she said she wouldn't have any of the candidates on her show.

I don't admire the way she is acting at the moment with her over the
top joy that Obama won. I think Oprah has some nerve wanting her to
come on now especially after rubbing it in many of her viewers faces that
"her guy won" and theirs didn't over the past couple of days.
She isn't being very fair to her viewers that supported McCain.

Larry
King is a moron. He also was in the tank for Obama. The guests he had on were mostly Obama supporters. Joy Bahar went on his show and bashed the hell out of McCain, plus she hosts for him when he takes time off. And besides, Larry is an idiot. He interviews people and knows nothing at all about them. He looks like a fool.

Anyway, that's how I feel and I hope I never see it again. There is never an excuse for people to be so rude and unprofessional.

I agree she shouldn't go on any of their shows to help them boost their ratings. She should just keep working for the people in Alaska and look toward 2012.

She gave Fox news the first post election interview and i would say at this time thats it. She was treated so badly by the press, the view, abc, nbc and manay others I'd say nope not now. I hope she runs for the senate seat that will probably be vacated by the senator once he is sentenced, learn as much as she can and in 8 years run for President. I don't care what anyone says about her. She would have made a great vice president but it didn't pan out so now to silence her critics dig deep study foreign and domestic policies. In 4 years at the convention have her give thetop spot speech and then in another 4 years make a run for it. I am very confident that in 8 years we will be more than ready for a huge change.

First, I have been appalled hearing on the news how Sarah Palin has been "blamed" for losing the election and other such nonsense. Then, when they get to her wardrobe, I could scream because it is so sexist!

I think she should not interview with Walters, Winfrey or King..... agreeing completely as to why with everything Jane said.

Sarah has gotten great exposure. People who like her *really* like her. She'll be back for more.

I would like to see her take a real lead nationally in the energy issues. Alaska is uniquely blessed to have the resources to help this country, and I would love to see her as the key proponent to that end.

I would also like to see her CONTINUE to call those peckerwood jerks out for their high school antics. It's shameful what's happened to her.

I think she's amazing.

I'm kind of sorry you brought that up, Renee, because I was going to let that sleeping dog lie but for a woman in Palin's position to call her detractors ' jerks ' is really childish in my opinion.

Should she have gone on to be VP or even President there would have been many ' jerks ' in her future. She would need to handle it with grace and diplomacy. Calling them jerks could start wars.

I hope she never sees the inside of the White House. She's simply not going to change dramatically enough to suddenly be capable of international diplomacy. Just my opinion of course and for the record, not a personal attack on her. I'm sure she's lovely and capable of many things. I just don't feel the White House is one of them.

i agree Renee. I'd much rather have someone call me a name like jerk to my face than to have say a President elect be in a PRIVATE meeting with the President and then come out and talk about what was to remain private with both sides knowing this. It happens between presidents all the time so let me have someone i know will call me out to my face instead of behind my back. She has real class. It might be a different type of backwoodsy type of class than the typical washintonian but she is very genuine. I do hope she gets into the White House. I would trust her 100 percent

I agree. A jerk is a jerk and they need to be called on it.
The way journalist and reporters twist what everyone says and takes things out of context is ridiculous. Besides people that are supposed to be working with you and behind the scene doing the same. A jerk is a jerk. I say - Good for her!

yes and she was great. Now if you want to talk about things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm read on drudge the things our new President elect is going to do that is an eye opener. we are in afor a very rough road. Sarah has nothing to do with this now. Hopefully all the liberals can let her alone now for awhile and start picking on something or someone that matters. How about really looking at what is gonna be taking place in January.

I'm sorry but things I read on the internet, I take with a grain of salt.
Anyone can post their opinions and slant on things.

I tend to make judgements on things I hear with my own ears.

Some of the emails I have been getting lately posing as news, makes me want to scratch my head. My boss told me about an email he received about Obama. I won't repeat, but I told him tales such as these with a different twist and different people have been going around for decades. He is a Mccain fan and said, Oh no, this is not a story this is news.

Of course if you get it on the internet, it must be true. stun

They aren't going to leave her alone. They fear her.
Why aren't they making a big deal about the fact that Obama doesn't understand the simple meaning of the word "Secret" meeting.

He has a "Secret Meeting" with the President and comes right out and tells everyone what was said.

Will Leaders of foreign countries trust a man that they want to have a "Secret" or "Private" meeting with someone that has shown he can't keep a Private meeting Secret between himself and his own President?

How is he going to feel when he has a Private conversation of importance with someone and then right after it's finished they go tell everything was discussed between them?

President Bush is still the President and the fact that Obama is so disloyal, disrespectful and irresponsible scares me to death.

He doesn't deserve to be respected as a leader because he still hasn't shown that he is up to the job of such importance.

The fact that he can't keep a conversation between himself and the President of the United States just between them is very immature and reckless to say the least.

This really proves to me for sure the real reason the Democrats backed him out of the gate was so they could have full control of the White House and country, they knew they could get him to do what they wanted.

He doesn't have the knowledge or experience to know the difference. Palosi and Reid wanted him in the White House so they could run the country through him.

Clinton wouldn't have worked for them, so that is why they needed her to go down. It was a set-up from the start. Clinton wouldn't have been so easy to manipulate.

should be an interesting 4 years janey shouldn't it. I guess is and secret are words that some have problems understanding. I do believe she poses a huge threat to the liberals. I find it so amusing that they still are running wild over this woman and she didn't win. Its a shame but she didn't and now we have Obama. She was fantastic in her interview with Greta Susteran. Its one thing to not favor her politics but to trash the woman for no good reason is just inexcusable and she was trashed and her family hurt over such ridiculous allegations. Now we can get all excited about another national holiday for Obama. That is in the works now and that makes me want to hurt. Why should he deserve a national holiday just because he is bi-racial. This is so beyond ridiculous. he hasn't done anything yet and even IF he were to be a decent President which i'm not holding hope he will based on the decisions he has made to the press we have a holiday for all Presidents that is enough. He doesn't deserve one more than another President.

PostSubject: Re: What Do You Think Sarah Should Do?   What Do You Think Sarah Should Do? EmptyWed Nov 12, 2008 9:58 am

I am just curious as to why ANYTHING should be kept secret from the american people in the first place.....

Its our economy, lives, jobs, finances, and family members fighting overseas.....what was so "secret" that Obama let out of the bag ??

was it something that can put us in harms way ??

Is it something that makes the current presedential team look bad ??

I did not see the interview or meeting or what was said..but as a United States citizen I gotta say I am looking forward to a president who will put it out on the table and say whats going on instead of one where I am still wondering about those "horrible weapons of mass destruction" that were never found.....and not knowing a damn thing about whats happening to US......

we do have a right to know the decisions being made for us do we not ?

I am sooo confused here....and just about ready to completely give up...all the mud slinging for both candidates...not just on Obama side and not just on Mccain side BOTH supporters on BOTH sides have said horrible things...

we do have a NEW president elected and we have no choices but two..

we can respect him and hope the best and pray he makes all the best decisions that ONE man can make...

or we can continue to ridicule him and his plans...

and Palin is out of it now she should probably be left alone...unless she is the one still mud slinging...

Love to all...its just a little too much when really we should be focusing on hope for a better life....

I want for everyone to have some peace in their lives whether it be financially, spiritually or politically...

I will pray for all that...as I pray for my new president...may he allow God to guide his hand.

The people going after Palin now, after the election, are the National Republican Committee and the right wing press, and the not the "liberials." The leaks are from Republican aids and bashing from Republican finger pointers. Reports on Palin "stupid" remarks, spending, etc are coming from a reporter from Fox News, reported ON Fox News, not exactly a bastion of the liberal press.

I still say it makes no difference if you like and support Palin or not. It all comes out to the same thing. Palin was an easy target and if she couldn't come out of it smelling like a rose she doesn't belong running with the big dogs. It doesn't matter if its true or not. They throw mud to see if it sticks. She's not made out of Teflon obviously. Only the Teflon survive. Only the Teflon SHOULD survive.

Enter the Teflon man of the ages, Mr. Obama. Again, it doesn't matter how you feel about him personally, look at the facts. If the boatload of mud thrown at him didn't slow him down, make him look like a kid on the playground trying to fight back, stop him from being president than he's tougher than Teflon. Go, Mr. President.

I'm sure if you hate Obama and love Palin you simply can't understand that but if you let go of your preconcieved notions its pretty easy to see.

I watched a portion of Palin last night on LKL.
I was really impressed with a lot that she said.
One thing that is kinda Clay related is her take on the media and the press. I think from what she said she may be taking them on. I hope so. She talked about how they should go back to the "who, what, when and where". Not the bias comentary that they did during the elections. Just give the facts and let the public decide.

Palin is still trying to win this election. She is still giving her stump speech at news conferences, she is still trying to "let the people decide."

The people decided, Palin/McCain lost.

The election is over, and this is one place where Palin is really showing her naivete. The opposing side (the losing party) mans up, backs off and aggressively supports the winning party. This is American politics. McCain talking about his support of Obama, the Republicans talking about their support of Obama. The 100 day honeymoon....

Palin is not doing this. You may personally like this about Palin, but it is the coffin nail for her being any viable choice for 2012 for the NRC. There is no way any Republican candidate can be elected without the support of the National Republican Committee, and much as they touted the "Maverick" outsider during this election, it was all smoke and mirrors. McCain was an insider, and the next Republican candidate will be a Mitt Romney, not a Sarah Palin. She might/could run as an independent and get 3% of the vote from her supporters, or really run the gauntlet for the presidency and not make it to the finish line.

I see her as a talking head on the Fox news shows.

I have nothing against Palin, now that I don't have to fear that she will represent the US to Vladimir Putin over an independent Chetsnia, so I'm all good......

Ditto sponge

I also see her as a future talking head . . . she seems addicted to the limelight. Why are we still hearing from her ? Can you even name Gore's vice-president ? Did we hear from him on every turn after the election ?

I'd say the attraction is the ' first ' aspect except that she wasn't the first female running mate soooooooo. . .

She's had her 15 minutes and then some but I doubt she's done with the fame game yet.

Funny you should ask, Gore's vice presidental nominee was Joe Liberman!

You know, the Democrat that crossed party lines and aligned with Bush and McCain?

The guy who truly thought he would be McCain's vice presidental choice instead of Palin?

The dems are now trying to decide if they kick the guy to the curb, or keep him in his position of high ranking Demorcrat. They were ready to kick him to the curb, but keeping him in the party has become an issue because if they get 60 Dems in the Senate, the Senate is filibuster proof. It was a moot point, but with Minnesota, Alaska, and Georgia up for grabs, it might still be doable, and they need Liberman for the 60th Democrat.

What a strange thing....

So, anyway, if Palin does the same as Liberman, we can expect her to change parties whilst still calling herself a Republican, and expect to run for the vice presidency with Obama in 2012!

Obama/Palin in 2012!
