when I visited my friend who lives in British Columbia she 'warned me".....when people ask where you are from, don't say "AMERICA"..because 'we' are Americans too....
say you are from "the states"...I had never thought about it before, but it does make sense...the term American I guess should apply to anyone on the continent...
so I learned something....on that trip

oh yeah...and btw.... never ever EVER think that Coulter woman speaks for me...the only thing we have in common is that we both sit down to pee....
