| its a video of Santenilli from Chicago talking about Obama's plan to pay mortgages for those who can't afford them hence i pay and you pay for others to have a home. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I work to pay my mortgage and it seems this bill will give to the poor to buy a home. I guess the lady on utube saying Thank you Jesus Obama gonna pay for my mortgage, my car and my food is all coming true. I laughed when i saw her say that but look at what is happening. He is opening up welfare more taking restrictions off that were in place during clinton and bush's years. the illegals will now qualify for welfare because no one has to show papers that they are legally here they just get it. OMG this is insane and now we pay for their mortgages. I am gonna join the protesters, this has got to stop, this man has to be stopped. He is taking our country down the tubes. the stock markets are not responding to his incentives at all, ask why? http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=1039849853 | |

| illegals get: welfare, free healthcare. so what's next? free housing? if our society continues with this politically correct movement, there will be no incentive to become an entrepeneur, to strive to become wealthy in your own right, if so much is given to any individual simply b/c they live in the U.S. i think the gov't needs to back off on some of their current ideas. if they really want to help the avg American citizen, they need to have more regulation on the oil companies, banks and ins companies without actually running them. cutting taxes would help struggling households, too. | |

| This is the scariest time in my years on earth. I am truly very worried about what all is going to happen.
The obscene amounts of money being talked about and tossed here & there just doesn't make any sense.
Saw someone say the other day that the downfall of financial markets will bring total chaos to the whole world. Like the world needs much incentive in being wacky anyhow.
If we aren't in a depression, we're on the verge.....

We get the privilege of paying for our own homes plus paying for theirs too. I totally agree too there will be no incentive to work to further your wealth because the government will help you if you don't make much money. Its just unbelievable what is happening. Never thought i would see this halppen.

I've know people in both categories...and let me tell you what, it just bothers me to no end...

| I always have to put my two cents in for many people on welfare.
It becomes so easy to put everyone in one pot- for example, people on welfare never work, don't care, soak the system for all it's worth...etc.
Have you spent any time in a welfare office? Really. Even just sitting in the lobby or riding the elevator with people to see the variety of people we are talking about? Perhaps you have or haven't.
In my job, I DO spent time down at the welfare office. A welfare office today is not just full of generational welfare families, but alarmingly increasing SITUATIONAL welfare families. Single parents who have lost jobs. Dual parents who have both lost jobs. People trying to get an education, which takes a LONG time when you are trying to work AND go to school AND take care of your kids. People who have lost not only income, but health care and housing. People like you and me. Truly. Uneducated AND educated people.
Every time I go there, there are tables set up in front from local community colleges and vocational programs - they send representatives to recruit. And a welfare client is always talking to them. They are trying.
Many of them would give their teeth to have your job, my job, ANY job.
Not all of them of course. We need to have more than one pot to catagorize.
I think it is wonderful that their may be a break for first-time home buyers to purchase a home. That will give young people a good start AND jumpstart our housing economy which is suffering so.

| some of your points are valid. Of course not everyone on welfare are uneducated or unwilling to work but there is a contingent that won't. I have seen many of them. I also agree with Laura people who need help don't qualify. Its insane. If you have a job and can afford your mortgage payment then fine i see nothing wrong with buying a house but how can someone who doesn't have a job, who can't pay their mortgage be good for the economy sorry it doesn't. I can't afford to pay for others mortgages. I live in a house i can afford. I have a small house because i know that if something were to happen to one of us the other could still pay for it. That is not what is happening. People are buying big homes and they can't afford it then i am expected to bail them out. Nope, sorry. You buy a house you can afford. First time buyers buy a small house and work up that is the way many of us did it. We started in a trailer when bryan was in law school and worked hard till we could afford a home. I didn't expect the government to come in and pay my mortgage and i don't expect it now. We are on a slippery slope and we are headed for disaster. We don't have the money for all the things obama wants to pay for. This man was not ready to be President and i stand by that. He is taking us in a path we will never recover from unless he is stopped which he won't because the dems also have control of senate and house. | |

| i'm furious. with all of the Fox coverage about the tea parties today across the country.. there is not ONE mention of this peaceful protest in my newspaper today! i think it's big news, that there are citizens who are speaking up for what they feel is over-indulgence on the part of our current administration, and the mainstream media is doing everything they can to quash the momentum! during the election campaign, there were numerous mentions of rallys being held in Florida for Obama, with mentions about McCain & Co, albeit with lesser fanfare. U.S. citizens exercising their right of free speech on such an important issue, and the media refuses to even acknowlege it?? i assume there will be some mention about the protests in tomorrow's paper? maybe. on Page 14. | |
