Prayers for the voter poll workers tomorrow

I pray that God gives them the patience to get through the day, the energy to deal with all the people coming through and the wisdom to look beyond the angst that is so evident this election to get their job done tomorrow.

Most of all, I pray for their safety and sanity. My husband as a member of law enforcement is volunteering the entire day at a polling site and I hope and pray he makes it through without too many problems.

My Hannah Rose is working at the polls tomorrow. She works from 630am until 10pm. Long hours but she is so excited. She's VERY civic minded and takes this duty seriously!

Ever since the girls were babies, I'd take them with me to go voting. We were even on the news one year...they interviewed me first asking why I brought them with me, what I would say to the girls, then they interviewed the girls. When they asked Rachel what she was going to do on her 18th birthday (she was about 8 at the time) she said "Have a party." They kept trying to get her to say "Register to vote" but she was more interested in the cake, lol!

Ah those good intentions....
