| So much hatred ! Yikes. This really has been one of the better campaigns between the two front runners. There has not been as much muck thrown as usual between these two men. They seem to have some respect for each other.
But . . . .
Their supporters on the other hand are determined to attack and destroy thier opponents. That makes no sense. We chose the two best men in the country and now we decide between them which we support. They are both fully capable I am sure of the job they are about to undertake. There is simply no reason for the hatred and attacks on the other guy.
Can't you just state positive things about your chosen candidate ? Why so much . . . the other guy is . . .
The heck with the other guy. Tell me what's right about your guy and I might listen.
So here you go . . .
If you feel strongly about a candidate, sell him to me. Not one word in this thread please about the other guy you don't support. Simply tell me what's so great about the candidate you have chosen to back.

| Without becoming long winded, these are the attributes that sell me on Barack Obama:
- REASONABLE
- SPEAKS A LANGUAGE I CAN UNDERSTAND
- NEW IDEAS
- YOUTHFUL/ENERGETIC
- GRASPS THE HEARTBEAT OF AND RESPECTS AMERICA'S COMMON MAN
- COOL, CALM, COLLECTED
- REPRESENTS CHANGE
- HAS ADDRESSED AN EDUCATION FORMAT THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND.
I'm not going to go into all the specific issues. But the above are words that come to mind quicky when I think of Barack. | |

| Significant numbers of voters say Obama has won them over with his judgment and how he makes them feel about America’s future.
And if voters are skeptical about Obama’s ability to deliver on some promises, they share the same concerns about McCain — while Obama continues to get a bump from supporters who think he’d be best able to address the nation’s economic troubles.
He also gets high marks from his supporters as being likely to reform health care.
His supporters see him as a force for great — and positive — change. A majority of his supporters expect sweeping, positive changes on everything from the Iraq war to making financial institutions more stable to job growth to foreign relations.
Forty-three percent of Obama supporters say he will probably lower taxes, 23% say he probably won’t be able to. For McCain, 27% of his supporters say he will probably lower taxes, 47% say he probably won’t.
Most Obama supporters say they believe he would probably reform health care; a majority of McCain’s supporters say their candidate would be unlikely to reform health care — even though both have announced major plans to do so.
Barack Obama and his campaign have not run away from any of the allegations; Sen. Obama has faced them head on, very openly and honestly. They are a non-issue.
Obama has clear-cut plans for improving our economy, providing our nation with accessible health care, improving our schools, protecting and providing for our troops, and letting Americans be proud again.

| I will be very happy when it's over. But I fear the aftermath...I really do. |
