| ...now I am out of here. I'll be out of the country for two weeks. By the time I get back, we'll have a new president. To everyone out there, it's been a wild ride. It's exciting to have an election that energizes the country! I'm ready for a change.... |

| ....*hugs*..... coco and Morgan and HEDER! It's pleasure...a scuba diving trip to the Virgin Islands. (Although I'm such a workaholic that I'm kinda dragging my feet about going....there's so much work I'm leaving behind!)
My city center was awesome! There were about ten tables for registration, an area about 50 feet by 50 feet. They had a group of three people checking drivers licenses against registration information. Then we were given a chit to go to another line, and check off our names. Then up the elevator, where there were two tables of volunteers, six total, and 8 Scantron booths.
Four years ago, we had to wait in line over an hour to early vote. There were busloads of college studenys registering to vote. I'm proud that 100 PERCENT OF THOSE REGISTERED COLLEGE KIDS VOTED! 100 PERCENT! |

| spongie, have a safe and wonderful trip! Scuba diving, Wow! Good for you!
Too bad Les didn't join before today because he would have loved being in the kitchen with you and sharing in the discussions.
Coo, I too vote absentee! I did hear that it's advisable this time to include a copy of ID with your ballot to ensure that our votes will count. Has anyone else heard anything about that?

| have a great vacation, Sponge! we'll miss you, but are envious of the fun you have in store! looking to see you here once you're back in the States good job btw, on getting so many young voters registered. that in and of itself is a good thing. Catz... i wasn't instructed to send a photo of my driver's license along with the absentee ballot. could this add-on apply only to first-time voters? i assume they have my info on file already, since i registered many years ago. | |

Catz... i wasn't instructed to send a photo of my driver's license along with the absentee ballot. could this add-on apply only to first-time voters? i assume they have my info on file already, since i registered many years ago. I just happened to be channel surfing and came upon one of the news programs (can't recall which one) a panel of various people were discussing voting, the problem with people voting more than once. One of the members on the panel was suggesting that people voting by absentee need to include a copy of their ID to ensure that their own vote will count because there will be a lot of fraudulent voting, so unless they see your ID it might not be counted. I was just curious in asking you because other than that time I haven't heard anything about it anywhere else. I plan on calling in to confirm before I send my ballot in, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
