Can you feel the silent mutiny ? Empty
PostSubject: Can you feel the silent mutiny ?   Can you feel the silent mutiny ? EmptyTue Oct 21, 2008 11:13 am

It seems like the board is made up of fans.

Well, of course you say.

But fans of who ? Clay. . . . sure. . . we are all fans of Clay in some degree, that's why we are here.

But more than that the board seems to be split between fans of certain posters. Thus when certain posters are not here the rest follow.

Its ok. I think our time to say goodbye has come and gone a few times already. I'm just holding on by sheer will power to try to keep a handful of friends connected.

Did I say friends . . . wow. . . always thought they were.

When someone says something publicly to denegrate this board even in veiled terms that only few understand, I come out swinging. This board represents my friends and people I care a great deal about. All of them. Even those that choose to not defend me. Doesn't matter, I love them too. I stand by them in friendship. Thus some are angry with me and then there are those that will simply follow without looking at the facts of the situation. But well, its all entertainment so ok move on to something more entertaining. I'd surely like to too right about now.

Clay's decision to speak was what was best for him. He needed to do it. I admire him for it. But that doesn't mean anyone has to blindly fall in line behind him the very moment he speaks or even after giving it some thought. He's simply a man who sings good. He's not really the leader of a nation . . . or is he.

The best Clay can hope for is tolerance. Tolerance is a word that gets thrown around a lot lately. But it seems in the ClayNation that tolerance is reserved for Clay or anything he happens to be or stand for. There is zero tolerance for questioning, discovering, discussing, learning, or religious differences. If you are not Clay Aiken you sure can't expect tolerance from the family he has created.

I think most of the fans fail to realize that demanding acceptance for homosexuality from fellow fans only closes the door tighter to the understanding that Clay will need to live a quiet life. I simply don't agree with love Clay or leave him. I've tried to create a forum here where differences can be discussed and some level of acceptance and insight can be achieved even by those struggling, but it seems some feel they are above all that and look down on those that aren't falling quickly in line.

Tolerance indeed.

I'm having a really hard time with the insensitivity to religious and personal beliefs and feelings as well as the condeming of Clay to hell by the religious. I'm having a really hard time with all of it.

I thought we could all discuss things as a family and hold onto each other in the storm and slowly pull a few onto the life rafts. . . a few that might never have seen the light of love and tolerance that Clay is trying to shine for them. But it appears not. Its love him or follow those that blindly do. Its ok. Its simply entertainment after all. Its not real friends and real people who have stood by your side and worked to make a better world. Its not real people who have spilled thier hearts and been there for you when you needed them.

Its about Clay after all. And probably as it should be.

I love you all but its looking like the end once again. Go ahead and call me Chicken Little. I sure hope I'm wrong. I will miss you all dearly.

Love
Morgan

I know it's a bit quiet at times. I just chalk it up to not much going on Clay wise and/or a lot of folks are busy with RL.

I thought we were ok otherwise. sniff

I hope you're right.

I fully admit to seeing ghosts sometimes.

Maybe it would help just a bit if we all made more effort to comment on things. Just hey, nice picture, etc. Just to have SOMETHING there. I am sooooooooo internet addicted I always need to see new posts I guess. sigh.

or maybe I should just hang it up and get a life . . . now there's an idea - lol.

Morgan is upset because I posted the following at Clayversity a couple of weeks ago:

Hi, everyone here!!! Just wanted to say you will likely be seeing more of me around CV. I had a home board which was actually the first Clay board I came to right after AI and it's where I "met" a couple of you and led to some great friends throughout the years. But recently, it has become a place where I am uncomfortable (won't go into reasons). Anyway, I'm looking to make CV my new home! I know quite a few of you here, so I feel like I'm not exactly new to the neighborhood, but I look forward to getting to know all of you. I love the respect and friendship here and hope that when you get to know me better, some of that love will extend to me. It already extends from me to you.

What ensued next was a serious of late night emails instigated by her which basically boiled down to she thinks I am mean and I think she needs to get some kind of help. The emails got heated, but I stand by what I said in them. And I see absolutely NOTHING wrong or inappropriate about what I posted at CV....which obviously is what gave rise to her discontent. Although they wer private, if anyone would like a copy, I'll forward them to you and you can judge for yourself.

The topic of this thread and her initial post are very incendiary, but for the most part, I would just say to everyone here....don't take sides, don't feel like you have to respond...once again, it is some kind of private matter that most likely should not be made public. THERE IS NO COMPETITION.

I long for the old days when we could just talk about concerts, TBAF and all the fun stuff.

This post will likely get edited or deleted, but so be it. I am really getting tired of this, Morgan. As I told you last night...GROW UP!

Cincy

Did I accuse you of something here ?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
by the way I think this sentence speaks volumes.
I have nothing to hide, cincy
I'll post them here if you'd like me to since it seems you don't repsect private communications.
Since this thread directly reflects your late night emails to me, of course, you accused me......talk about "thinly veiled" comments; it doesn't take a genius to figure out that once again you are feeling the victim. If you are going to start these things, get it all out in the open. I said everything I had to say to you last night, but bringing this stupidity to the board because of a friendly post at another board reminds me totally of what happened at Chexxxy's a few months ago.
As for speaking volumes.....when you make a private matter public YOU open those floodgates. Not me. But in case anyone is confused or upset by this latest tirade in self-pity, since YOU brought it up and since I'm so "mean and full of myself".....sure, I'm more than happy to share.
Since you edited yours to post that you would post the emails here....I'll take that as YOUR consent that they are no longer private and you have my consent to copy them here in their entirety.
Yes, Cincy, it certainly does remind me of Chexxys and before that Allegro.
You feel a need to diss this board in other places - sometimes by name and sometimes veiled. And just for the record that is not the only time you spoke of this board on Clayversity.
This post here may have had nothing to do with you. I did not call you out or name names or even accuse you of anything.
In my opinion, you simply can't control your anger and feel a need to spread it further. I'm sure I do play the victim. And sometimes I am simply victimized by those I felt were my friends. I'm sure I do need professional help, most everyone could benefit from it. I'm sure I act a child and could use to grow up. I admit all my faults.
But cincy, you can not be trusted. You stated it yourself plainly for everyone to see. I will send you private emails to read without getting the other person's permission because why. . . because you're angry.
Cincy you are very cruel to me. You are mean. I have no idea what you think someone will see in those emails to embarrass me. I also stand by what I said. But Cincy, honestly, for your own good I would not send them to anyone because its a side of yourself you really shouldn't show to your friends. You were plainly vindictive and mean. Even I was shocked at your meanness.
I've reached my hand out to you so many times and had it bitten I wonder myself if I dont need professional help.
I did not post this here to accuse you of anything. I spoke of problems in the entire fan group not of you. I spoke of problems in this board not of you. I did not call you out. I would have used your name if I had. Everything is not about you.
~~~~~~

Oh, and I apologize for the ' late night ' emails. It is 3 hours earlier here and not late night and I didn't think of it. My apologies.

If you don't want to post the emails from last night, I will be happy to do....especially NOW that you have totally misrepresented their content.

I have never dissed or disrespected this board....not at CV, not at Chexxxy's or Allegro. You know that.

Either you post the emails or I will. I have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of or to hide. You are really losing it, Morgan. Wow! Just Wow.

"For the record", I don't recall ever posting about this board at CV and the above post is the only one I recall with the exception of thanking CV members who welcomed me. Anyone who wants to search that at Clayversity can search ALL of my posts over there and see for themselves. If you see the name Morgan Rowan or CAPCH, I'll stand corrected.

I thought the board was doing just fine and everyone was moving along well. The only tension I feel there is any more is between Morgan and Cincy.

I think it is very odd sometimes I think everything is going smoothly and everyone is getting along fine, and then there is a thread started like this that makes no sense to me.

By Cincy, mentioning the emails between the two of you it seems to make more sense, because I feel (and I don't think I'm the only one) that the rest of the board was doing just fine.

You create tension where there is none. This is just another example.

About me????? I think not. Any "diss" about YOU personally or questioning about YOU is NOT a diss of this board or its members. YOU are not CAPCH....for most of us, the CA stands for Clay Aiken.....not YOU. Or me.

I am glad to hear that everyone feels the board is doing ok.

That makes me feel better.

Obviously there is a building tension between cincy and me that I chose to address off the board. My post does have a bit to do with that but it had more to do with the entire climate of misunderstanding between fans.

Cincy cant seem to see that its about more than her and me I guess. But I do appreciate hearing that everyone is doing ok.

Cincy

The board is made up of members. CAPCH is me

and it is you and it is each one of us.

Clay Aiken Please Click Here is an invitation to Clay to join us. This board is not Clay Aiken. . . he is not a member. This board is a family he created.

I edited my post above. It was in reference to Susan's post.

Honest, when I read Morgan's original post I did not think it singled out any one person - I thought it was in reference to some of the diress on the political board, members still feeling uncomfortable about Clay and others disputing that and general quietness. Heck, I was frustrated this past weekend when I was posting some stuff and seeing little or no response - even though I could tell people were clicking and reading. I'm willing to "entertain" but I would like "entertaiment" back!!!

Personally, I don't care to read the exchanges Morgan and Cincy have had through private email. To post them to me would be turning the board into the "National Enquirer" type low blows to me. Just my personal opinion and not meant to strike either of you. ht

We're a strongly opinioned group some of us. We have to be careful not to chase the less strongly opinionated/voiced people away. The political race has some of us worked up. Clay has some people worked up. Religious views get in the way. Isn't that the old saying? "Never talk to your friends about politics, religion or sex". Guess we wouldn't be a message board without the discussion but like in real life we need to have RESPECT across the board.

Just my random thoughts and comments.

I email other members often. Sometimes its confrontational and we resolve it.

I cant leave you alone if you are here. I cant ignore you. Whats the purpose of being a member then.

No one is picking on you. Now who's playing the victim.

Morgan, I am sorry to say you opened this up for discussion with your orginial post and from what I am getting in this exchange between the two of you it needs to be in the open because it does effect the board because once again I read in your orginial post this board may go away and every time and it seems to be alot lately we hear that and some of us don't want that to happen and we kind of panic thinking our internet friends will be gone. You and Cincy have always had a problem and she has been told more than once to leave the board it really is not far that any of us have to leave for the only reason I can see for anyone leaving is they are no longer a Clay fan.

I am sometimes accused of taking Cincy side because we are friends we are friends because of this board I don't see Cincy unless we are going to a concert and that hasn't happened in a long time, we don't talk except on here unless I see you two starting and then I call to calm her down yes sometimes it is hard not to jump right in the middle and if we all were truthful you would know it is hard to watch this go on and you know what I knew things were going to well and when it does that is when the tension starts just go back a few years and you will see it.

It is a shame it has come to this because I have not seen anything that really should have started this Cincy said something on another board no names mentioned I see this all the time. I am really sorry Cincy feels this way but I can understand.

I have to say Joan does not have a mean thought in her heart you two just do not understand each other at all and yes I have read the e-mail's and I am sorry this happened I just don't see a reason.

ht to all.

Basket, thanks for being a cooler head.

Morgan knows what motivated her initial post today. And if I over-reacted to it, it was in part due to anger at again "threatening" to close the board and simply walk away. I do realize that for many here, this IS the only board they come to and/or the board they consider home. I just like to travel.

I will request though that since there are already over 140 reads of this thread that it NOT be edited or deleted. That way when 140 more people read it, nothing will be misstated or misrepresented elsewhere (since we see that happening a lot these days).

I, too, am glad to see that other than Morgan and me, all is well with the rest of you guys. Maybe I'll get some sleep tonight and it will be with me, too!
