How Much THe Campaign Has Aged Obama.... 110608_obamaage
Biologically, Obama is 47 years and 3 months old, but stress
can lead to premature aging -- so after two years on the campaign trail, what is his 'true age?'

Link to Article: After Long Campaign, How Old Is Obama?

If that doesn't work try this one:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,448027,00.html

My Comment:The Campaign does appear to take a toll on the candidates. Just looking at the change in him
in these pictures from the beginning of the campaign to today, big change!

We have seen it before with many of our former Presidents. I can only imagine how
much of a toll it will take on him over the next 4 years.

He, just as those that came before him will be under so much stress! It comes with the job unfortunately.

Who in their right mind would even want this job. The pressures are enormous and will get worse for Obama. I saw a picture of him going to the gym with three armed guards. He faces the daily threat of some lunatic trying to harm him. Problems are looming in Russia, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Israel and most of all fixing our economy. I wonder if he woke up the morning after and thought to himself what have I gotten myself into.
I was very upset when he won I supported McCain but after three days I have come to terms with it all. I do hope he will be a great president and I respect him. Janey, Renee and Deb look on the positive side the Democrats are in charge and when things go wrong they can't blame the Republicans, although they will probably figure out a way to do so. I think this is the rebuilding time for our party and I am looking forward to 2010. I want the Democrats to succeed but what have they done in the the last two years, absolutely nothing.

Well, regarding the picture...

How do YOU look after you've been under intense stress for months? Of course, it can take it's toll, but on his side he has the fact that he is physically fit, uses exercise as a stress reliever and he has young children to put a little prospective in his everyday living. Also, since Fox News was NOT Obama friendly, the motive to put opposite types of pictures (a youngish looking one vs. an not so appealing oldish looking one)might be questionable.

Especially under the current economic and global conditions, he certainly knows what he is getting into. And is willing to take the chance. In this role, you put everything at risk - your life, your image, your family - everything. It is almost the ultimate "for all mankind" task you can take on.

I choose to not look for a place to but blame. I choose to not start on negative feet. I do not understand how anyone "blames" a whole party when that party consists of so, so many people.

I myself am not a democrat or a republican - I look at the individuals and make my call that way. "Absolutely nothing" is a exclusive, bold call.

The "positive side" is to be able to wipe your hands clean and wait for the backlash?

I choose to be proactive and find something you can do in your community to make a difference instead of sitting back and waiting for chips to fall.

The above article and picture wasn't meant as something negative against Obama. If the campaign aged him this much, can you imagine how stressful it will be when he becomes the President? And he has a lot of promises to keep to the people of this country.

Almost very President ends up with the strain of the job on his face. It's not an easy job by any stretch of the imagination.

I think the main reason we are seeing such a change in him so soon is the fact that this was such a long campaign.
I hope it never happens like that again, it was way too long, almost two years. Plus he just about went straight from one campaign to another.
That had to have taken a toll.

And what he faces is no walk in the park. Terrorism is still a very big threat. He can't rest for a minute on that one issue alone once he is sworn in.

Well, as far as putting my trust in the Democrats I don't know about that. Nancy Palosi and Harry Reid promised us the sun, moon and stars two years ago and so far there hasn't been any change whatsoever. Talk is cheap.

But, we will wait and see how Obama goes about his vision for the country that he promised us. As I said, we heard those same promises two years ago from the Democrats and so far things are worse than ever, they have made no changes to date.

All I ask of those that voted for Obama is that they not make excuses for him if he goes back on his word on anything.
I understand things take time, but he still needs to keep whatever promises he made to his supporters and to the country.

When he made those promises of everyone having health care, and not
increasing
taxes on anyone earning 250k or less, and bringing the troops home would be one of his first priorities, and the many other promises he made.

He can't use the bad economy as an excuse to get out of the promises he made.

The economy was already bad when he made those promises to the country so he knew what he was getting himself into when he spoke those words. I just hope people hold him to his word and expect him to keep it.

Well just look at what the last years of stress have done to Clay. He doesn't even look like the same person.

Too true Morgan. Stress can kill you, many a person has gone to their grave early from stress.

My mother told us kids constantly that we were putting her in an early grave....lol

This is going to make my Mother sound dumb
(just keep in mind she is Irish and we Irish have a saying for everything)

When she was really upset with something we had done she would say...
"One of these mornings I'm going to wake-up dead"

<I laugh thinking how stupid it is, and how funny my mother can be>

As we got older it dawned on us that so much of what she said to us to make us feel bad didn't make an ounce of sense....

We give her such a hard time now and the grandkids love those stories of their Grandma..
